Default Head work or no?

Hey guys... I知 new to this but was wondering if y誕ll could give me some options here... so I知 in progress of a light high compression y7 build and was wondering if I needed to or should get any head work done while I have the block at the machine shop and what not. Any feedback would be great thanks.

High compression and "head work" are to produce more power, this engine was designed for MPG and longevity. It would make more sense to change if you are going for power.
