Hello everyone. I have been lurking here a lot recently and finally decided to join up.

I recently purchased a 1996 Civic EX Sedan, Green (not sure of the specific color designation given by Honda) 5-speed manual with ~215 miles on the clock. $1,200 is not bad at all for this guy. This will be my DD/Gas Saver.

Much like any car this old it has a few problems but, nothing entirely too major. The guy I bought it from is a fellow car nut so I know the major maintenance issues have been addressed (oil changes, timing belt at 100k miles etc.)

The Immediate Issues:

• Axles need replacing.
• ABS light is on.
• Speedometer does not work.
• Oil change.
• Tune up.

Secondary Issues:

• Car needs to be re-painted
• Passenger side air vent always blow, regardless of floor or vent setting (odd)
• Needs new hood release latch
• New brakes soon (possibly, I haven't taken a look yet)

Most of the DIY's I have found on here, hence why I'm joining up here.

I haven't taken possession of the car yet, my friend is going out of town so we'll take care of the TT&L next weekend so I'll post pics then when I can.
