None do perfectly, except for the head(s) that are designed for the DOHC ZC block. 100% compatible heads for the DOHC ZC block are:
- the US 86-89 integra head (D16A1 engine)
- the JDM 89-95 DOHC ZC head (first gen & 2nd gen ZC heads)
- and the Euro ZC/Rover head (which is exactly like the JDM ZC heads)
Other than that, there are no other 100% compatible heads that will bolt up to a DOHC ZC block. I hear people in the past have tried to bolt up a D16 SOHC head to a ZC block, but the oil passages don't quite line up and machining need to be done....and of course in the long run its not even worth all the effort & $$$.
It's best to stick with a ZC head on a ZC block.
