Your thread is already gay. He is right, this is honda-tech. Why are you asking this here anyway, why dont you take 5 minutes, register at a subaru site and ask it there?

because people here on h-t.com also own other imports your fucktard. just because it's honda-tech doesn't mean everyone here owns only a honda/acura and doesn't know crap about other cars.
if you take a look around, you will see that h-t.com is diverse and also experienced with other imports.
i'm too lazy to find a good scooby site and register. why do that when people here can help me.
so shut the **** up vtec-da da daaaaaa and da da your *** on out of here.
some of you honda/acura drivers are worst than bitches. always nagging about stupid ****. *tsk* *tsk*
stop asking lame questions and ask a technical question. the forum is hybrid and is about swapping engines. where the hell does it say: "only discuss about honda/acura engine swaps?"

And, I wasnt nagging at all. I was simply saying that your thread was already gay because you were asking a subaru question on a honda site and were getting upset when people questioned you about it. I know honda-tech is diverse, and I sure there are many knowledable subaru people on here, who can give you good answers. Ask away, I couldnt care less, just dont get your panties in a bunch when someone says something about asking your question on the wrong site.

Re: WRX/STI engine in 93 impreza? (VTEC-DA)
the anwer is yes if your car is a gc8 model
you need the entire driveline from each (sti driveline and diffs dont work with usdm wrx they can be used but some years require the rear diffs gear to be changed) so keep wrx-wrx driveline and sti to sti driveline for simpisty
it will actually bolt right in if your body style is the gc8 (not sure what year that started i think it is 93 but just check that.
now goto nasoic and ask them because they are subaru people

Re: WRX/STI engine in 93 impreza? (Phast Life)
Obviously the wrong forum but alas... I did the swap on my MY2000 2.5RS. Pretty much stock STi engine ran a 12.9@104 without abusing the gearbox.
The ECU is the only difficult part. Most STi boxes have 4.44 ratios so you need a 4.44 rear end. You can get an LSD one from a OBS auto or some of the legacies too. On a 93 it's not worth it to do the swap on a FWD only car.
For a version 7 you need an auto driveshaft as the STi 6 speed gearbox is longer than the 5MT. Besides that it's pretty much bolt-in. A local shop to me does a fair number of swaps and they have it down to a science.
