Default wiring question? H22A

This is going to seem really stupid to most of you but I keep wondering why you have to make a wiring harness for the H22A swap? I mean you are going to use the H22A computer aren't you? So why can't you just use the H22A harness?
And if it is because you don't use the H22A computer then what would be the best computer to get? If I use the stock DX computerwould my rev limiter be lower than it should be?

Default Re: wiring question? H22A (DraginX)

It mainly depends on what year h22 and if it's jdm or usdm. Most H22 swaps are JDM or having to convert OBD's, so it's easier to adapt the factory civic harness to the motor, and add the necessary wires (knock sensor, vtec, etc.).

For using the P13 ecu, it doesn't matter, as long as it's the same OBD as your car unless you are running a jumper harness. The plug connections are the same. If you have an OBD1 H22A swap for an OBD1 car, then the OBD1 P13 will clip right in.

Stock DX ECU would run like **** on the motor, but it would run.
