Default will ls auto ecu fit stick shift ls car?

Thread says it all pretty much... i have a ls motor, no ECU wondering if a 92 ls ecu automatic will work... i hear LS ECU's dont use the automatic, but have a seperate computer for that system... ???

Correct. The auto cars use a ATM (or is it ATC) but whatever, it's the auto tranny computer/module that controls the shifting. The ECU itself is relatively the same except for the fuel and timing maps & curves, and the rev-limit & fuel cutoff. That's why you can chip most auto ECUs into 5-spd spec by changing the fuel & timing curves and bumping the rev-limiter & fuel cutoff around.
