I paid a higher price for mine... and this was over a year ago too (right before everyone starting jumping onto the bandwagon). I picked up my JDM B20B (Z pistons) with 5200 miles on it for $1200... complete swap, but I dumped the tranny, axles, and ECU..... and no, this was not out of a CRV, but out of an Orthia BTW, I got it through a friend who got it from his JDM importer.

-sohfast.com
-i think the longblocks are around $1300 buckaroos and thats with no shipment loot.
-i would try every junkyard around you and even some that are a slight distance.
i'm sure you might be able to find one for a good price and mileage for around $1000 bucks and maybe less. they are in demand so don't try engine swap online shops. they'll rip your a-hole with the going rate.

I know junkyards are useless around here and not worth the time. So around 1,000 is the going rate? I remember it was 800 just earlier this year. I decided to go LS/VTEC instead but now I want a B20 to work on. Anyways... I tried Locashracing but they didnt hve any blocks in stock. Any other suggestions people?

i paid $1k + tax and it was delivered to my door. It only had 53 miles on it - bought it from a local salvage yard and they brought it on a flatbed the next day. The guy was a dick but the service, price, and condtition was excellent

BTW: this swap is becomming increasingly more popular. Some yards have heard most haven't but they all know about the GSR's and Type R's. Therefor $1000 is a GREAT price for a longblock if its in good - great shape. If you find it for any cheaper then that - start writing a check because it won't be there for long
