Default white smoke and the smell of burned oil

whatcha think it is... i drove my car from VA to FL a month ago.. everything was fine, car was runnin real good, but when i got to end of my trip the car wasnt runnin right. i lost power, vtec still kicks in but it dosent have the same power it had before, smoke came out the muffler when i ran it hard. and the smell is real bad. i bought a brand new stoker kit from eagle w/ lighten crank, increased displacement to 2.0 2156cc 85mm bore, to replace the bottom end and at the same time get more power out of the motor, but i'm also gettin feedback from others that it could be the valve seals, but i didnt know that the motor looses power with bad valve seal. its a 98 b18c1 on a 2000 civic EX. any help will be appriciated.
also... i'm doing the bottom end myself, i took the kit and the block to a machine shop so that i can get the blocked bored out to specs according to the kit. but i'm mounting everything myself.. i need the torque down specification for rebuilding the bottom end and to torque down the head... thanx
