Where to get Hondata ecu socketing?
Is it only offered straight from Hondata?
If not, does anybody know a H-Ter who does it?
I need to get it done ASAP.

Re: Where to get Hondata ecu socketing? (hot_EH)
if your talking about the 28 pin socket, than yeah just go to radio shack. they sell them there. i bought a socket from them once when i put in a skunk 2 chip in my p28. just tell the salesman that you need a 28 pin socket. some sockets have short soldering pins and some have long pins. get the short ones. the socket should be approximatley the same size as your chip, if you have one. the socket is about almost an inch wide and about 1 1/2 - 2in. long. it will cost about 3 bucks and some change. the sockets that hondata has are the same, just different brand. radio shack also has the capacitors and resistors that hondata uses. i hope that's what you wanted to know.

I've really got no clue what needs to be done.
I'm getting an s200 program, and was told my ecu needs to be sent to Hondata to get socketed.
I've really got no clue what that means. Is there something else I need to buy that I've got no clue about?
I guess I'm not understanding exactly what has to go on....

Awesome..I guess I talked to Ashley? (girl, not a boy, correct?)
295 for s200 + 50 for socketing.
Or free socketing if I have them install + tune it.
I guess I'll maybe have them do all of it.....she said 300-600 to tune it.
I won't be able to afford much more than 300 for the tuning part though

Cool, Philip's really good at tuning. The reason for the price of tuning is he doesn't charge per hour. He puts the car on the dyno and tunes it and actually burns the chip over the period of a day or two. So he spends a lot of time with it and gets it done right. Whenever you are ready, I'll go down there with you and see what we can work up. I'm actually taking a buddy down there in about 2 weeks to get his car tuned as well. Fully built LS/Vtec turbo with type r crank and rods with SRP pistons tuned to 14 pounds with Hondata s200 with boost option. Hopefully the results will be quite killer.

Sweet....I've got to get my exhaust leak fixed first, and then I'll be ready for the dyno.
I'm hoping to get it in next week, or possibly the july 4th weekend if he's in.
Your buddies car sounds awesome. I don't want to be on the dyno anytime near when he's doing his pulls I don't want to be embarrassed. ahha
