When Buying a used ENGINE

Where do you go or how do you find out if the engine is stolen or not stolen?

Get the vin number and car fax it

Ask for paperwork,reciepts,etc..

no paper work but i'll get the VIN and run it on car fax....thanks man!

by the way...if its an OBD1 ( no vin on the motor) how do you run the serial number under the engine code?

Obviously you can't. There is no VIN. That engine could have been stolen a dosen times over already and you'd never know.

Due to popular demand (aka theft) OBD1+ = VIN stamps.
