What specific ecu do i use for my swap???
I am dropping and ls/vtec with a type-r head into my 98 civic dx. I have the type-r wiring harness. What specific ecu can i use??? Can I use a type-r ecu or a differnent one?? Please specify kind of car and what year.

P2T civic si w/b16, PCT jdm civic typer, P73 JDM or USDM ITR, P30 JDM SIR or USDM DEL SOL VTEC (dohc)

you need a 96-98 ecu from a gsr. A Si ecu will not plug in. The 96-98 and the 99-00 plugs are different. To get maximum power out of it just repin the ecu to obd1 and run a chipped P28

Alright you will either need a 96-98 gsr ecu or you will need to convert it to obd 1 in which case you can run either a P30,Obd1 P72 or a chipped P28

Get an OBD2-OBD1 converter...run a chipped P28 (92-95 Ex/Si ecu)
That's the easiest thing to do. Either that...or you can run a 98 ITR ecu.
You might get a few codes though.
