What should I do?
I am just about ready to swap. Unfortunately, I do not have the time or the resources to do the swap myself, so I am forced to pay a shop to do it for me.
My dilema:
I am putting a 2nd gen B16 into my 1993 CX.
Do I:
a. Just pay the shop to find the motor and have them take care of everything, and hope they find/use a clean and reliable engine.
b. Do I buy the engine from HMO and just pay to have them install. From what I have read about HMO, they guarantee that no additional parts are needed to get the engine to work.
I am really in a jam here. . .I would hate to have the shop purchase a poor engine. . .but at the same time, I don't want them to think I am trying to cheat them out of money and in return they do a "****-poor" job on the swap.
Advice/personal experience welcome.
What are some reputable swap shops in SOUTH orange county!

Re: What should I do? (Monk BPI)
if you have some intelligent friends with decent tools, do it yourself. but if you feel it's out of your league and u got moolah coming out of your ****, have the shop do it for you & arrange so you can at least watch a majority of it i guess.
edit: don't limit yourself to just local shops if you can't find a good one, there are plenty of reputable(and plenty of un-reputable ones) allover southern california
edit2: ok missed the part about not enough time/resources. sorry i need to stop skimming through these things.

Re: What should I do? (Ruckus138)
Thanks for the replies. . .I really wish I could do my own swap. Unfortunately, I am very new to the import scene, and all my friends have gone off to college(none of them were into cars anyways)
I really don't have money coming out my "****" but I don't think I have an option.
Anyone in South Orange County willing to give me a hand with an easy swap?
Any good So. Cal. places to get the swap done at?
