what kind of cat are you guys/girls using that have a jdm 98 itr swap?
i just want to know so that i can pass emissions.
i wanna know what cat for the 98+ jdm itr engine in a 5th gen hatch.

That depends on your state and their emission laws, but in any case you need a catalytic converter to make the car "legal". A nice aftermarket high flow cat (Catco, Carsound, etc.) would work or even OEM. I have a 99 GSR in my 92 VX and I am using the cat from the GSR.

reason i ask is because i have a 98 jdm type r motor and i need to know what cat will bolt up to the header which has a 2.5 outlet.
i also heard that carsound cats tend to fall apart on the inside real fast.
