What ecu should i use?
Well i just finished my GSR Swap, and the damm shop gave me a wrong ecu, they gave me a p06 and wont give me anything back to compensate for the p06. Currently im using my stock p28 with the gsr. All i have right now is just a stock gsr with intake and exhaust. I plan to get cams and a new manifold and stuff soon. But right now, should i just get the p28 chipped? or should i find an obd1 p72? Would it would be bad at all to just run a chipped p28 on a stock motor?
oh i did a search too, but i couldnt find a answer.

running a stock p28 will be fine.
For chipping it, I would get yourself a single runner intake manifold first, then get it chipped. Those secondaries not working properly is a pain in the *** with low end on B series.
good luck.

oh and by the way, you can those dudes I told them they are ******* morons for sending a DX ecu with a GSR swap.

one more thing. Right now currently with my stock p28 im not using the secondaries either huh?? so do you think it will be a waste of money to get a p72 or should i just go and get a single runner manifold first.

only dual runner ECUs are P13 (H22A - not recommended on b-series), and GSR (P72).
while the GSR is an excellent choice, it depends on what you want. if the car is street driven and you enjoy the power you have then simply get a GSR ECU, its nice around town. if you want more top end power look into Skunk2 (more suitable on the strip).
usual going rate for a GSR ecu is about $250-300. SKunk2 for GSR is simliarly priced. you already have the P28 ecu so what you can do is get it chipped either with DIY kit or by someone doing it for ya. (check my sig ) $35-85US
running (p28/P30) open butterflies @ partial throttle registers major losses. while @ WOT from the dynos I have not seen any difference especially when you compare stock P72 running butterflies then running chipped P28 with open buttrflies - actually gains of few horses around 4500-7500rpm, with timing and mixture tuning.
skunk2 + chipped P28 = about 10whp and 2-4lb/ft of torque from 6k rpm and up over the stock P72 GSR.
here you go compare on the mugen p28 vs P72 GSR on stock intake manifold (5.7k rpm vtec is way too far but it @ 5k rpm its perfect and starts making power alot earlier)
just do not get a JDM GSR ecu. it simply sucks. I tried tuning, (I ran 94 octane gas) and no change.

I would personally just run the vacuum line with the secondaires and run a chippped P28. I have the vacuum line with the IAB valve on the side of the lude intake manifold and it's not that bad at all w/them hooked up the way it is.
