Default What did you do with your original engine?
Hey:

I am going to do my swap this weekend, and I am not going to have room long term to keep my 1.5 CX motor around.

What did you do with yours? The junkyards tell me that they can't take it because of some stupid law about stolen parts or something. I don't imagine anyone is going to want to buy this thing.

I'm thinking modern art....

Stolen Parts?? Get some pics of you pulling it out of your car and maybe they will think otherwise. My old engine is just sitting in my garage.

My plan is to pull it apart(to learn), and then give the bare block, head, and tranny case to an aluminum recycler. I already tore apart my tranny, next is the block, I am waiting on warm weather.

Part it out and sell the parts on the partstrader. After, you tear it apart and explore.

put it in a crate and send it to my house. people in cali always need stock motors to smog their cars with. i have a 2000 dx motor sitting in storage with no miles on it. and it is gonna stay in storage until i decide to sell my car.

Mine is just chilling in the corner of my garage. My mom has yet to find out that I did a motor swap. I just keep telling her it belongs to my friend.

bahahahahahha! will she take away the ek if she finds out???? INSANE! I sold my stock motor with 1000 miles on it for 700.00 bucks but i wish i had kept it...

I sold mine to a guy who said he was gonna build it up. I said, "build up a d15?" he said, "yeah." so I sold it to him. I hope he got what he thought he was going to get. I never heard from him after I shipped it.

In peices inside and outside (stashed in the bushes) around my garage. Break it down learn how to take it apart and put it back together.

Take the head off and the block makes a nice planter

I sold my D16 to a kid down in Norfolk who had a dead CX. I never heard if he got it running or not but it ran great when i had it.
