Default What are all you Ls/Vtecs reving to?

Just been reading up of putting a b16 head on a b20 but apparently the b20's dont like revs? Its gonna b turboed but i wanna rev it to about the 9k mark what would need to be done? Is it the cranks that are weak? It will be sleeved, pistons, rods n all head work done. Is it the crank that doesnt like the revs?

Thanks

Nath

i have a b18b with b16 head t3t4 turbo and i don't go over 8k, usually 7300-7500 when i am just driving around town. from what i have heard the rod bolts are wea and often fail, from what i have read they use the same rod bolts that the d series use. but if your gonna spend the money your talking about spending you might as well get an eagle crank also imo

im gonna be stroking it so will have a different crank. I just wanted 2 make sure that it wasn't the actual block that prevents it from reving. Im hoping to be able 2 rev 2 9500k. It actually possible with everything built?

no its not the block. you can put a gsr crank with gsr rods and pistons in a b18b. so if you are gonna build your motor i would not see any problem. the main problem with lsv's is the rod/rod bolts.

Why don't you concentrate on acheiving the POWER mark you want instead of being king of over rev??

If making the power you want, requires you to rev to the moon, then worry about it then.
