Default weight/speed ratio in hybrids (realistically)

How much faster does a car go when it loses 100 lbs? 300 lbs? and so on. I'm mostly referring to Civic hybrids.

I understand Integra LS's (3gen) run about 16.-.2 depending on the driver of course. How much faster will a Civic coupe be with the same motor granted that it weighs 2231 lbs; which is 3-400 lbs lighter than the 25XX integra..how about a hatch which is even lighter (as light as 2,094 lbs).

What about in my case? I have a JDM H22A in my '94 Civic coupe. I'm sure the JDM Preludes run about low-15s and maybe high 14s i honestly don't really know). So putting that in a car that is 600 lbs lighter will make it how much faster?

One rough estimate is 100 lbs = 1 tenth. So taking 600 lbs out of the car will drop about 6 tenths. Keep in mind this is a rough estimate. Many other variables factor in to overall quarter mile times.

Yeah, I don't know about those estimates...I think "rough estimate" is an understatement. I mean, if you take out 600 lbs out of a 601 lb car, you're going to see more than 6 tenths difference...especially if the car is slow to begin with.

The best way to go for an estimate is just find one of those 1/4 mile calculators online.
