Which way is easier.

Default Which way is easier.

Is it easier to pull/put an engine in through the top or bottom.

I was thinking just unhooking the mounts and pulling out of my engine, also putting in my new one that way.

If you have no hoist do u really have a choice? I rather drop an engine from the bottom and install from the top with a hoist of course

easiest way is with a lift.
i use a steel cart lower the car til teh engine sits on it, then unbolt the engine, raise car and wheel teh cart out. much easier, faster and cleaner than any hoist or through the top job.
