I got a dumb question cuz i dont know much about car engines.....
Do all hondas with SI's have a VTEC DOHC engine?
Or is SI its own kind of engine or is SI just a class? im lost with this?

for example:
Dx is base door handles, molding and interiro all suck
Lx is mid door handles match body, but molding dont, interior has power option
Ex higher end door molding and handles match paint, power locks, better interior, could have sun/moob roof better and not to forget engine!!!

 

Well, my insurance company says they will up my bill if i buy an SI?
whys that if its just a trim not any faster? or is Si a faster model?
I always thought it was because Si's all have V-tec DOHC engines?

uh, not the new Si's with the sick hatchback body style....
The like 99' when they started the Si trim and it kept the regular body style coupe.

 

The reason youre insurance will go up is because its a coupe and it has a 1.6l dohc vtec 160hp engine.

 

Not to mention it has one of the highest theft rates of any car ever....
