not enough information.

i am assuming you are running obd1 gsr motor in your hatch with the p72 ecu.

check your wiring for vtec, make sure you wired up vtec oil pressure (d6 pin-out and ground) and spool solenoid (a4 pin-out).

I realize the 92 civic models are pre-wired for vtec usually, verify the wires are there, and that you have wired it from the vtec solenoid and oil pressure to the firewall, leading to the ecu.

very good point.

make sure your ecu is not having you in limp mode (any hard codes such as MAP sensor, TPS, knock sensor and others).

then pull the codes.

get a paperclip, bend it into a U shape.

go to where your ECU is, grab the green connector that is located just above the ECU. There will be two sets of harnesses -- one with 2 wires in it, and the other with three..

make sure your car is off and the key is out of the ignition. stick the U shaped paperclip in the back of the harness with the TWO connectors in it, then put in the key, and put the key onto the ON switch (do not turn on the car).

Watch your CEL blink. One LONG blink indicates 10. One SHORT blink indicated 1.

Example -- two long blinks and 1 short blink = 21.
