VTEC kick in at 6200rpm?
just finished up my lil bro's EG gsr swap. no CELs. everything is hooked up correctly ie. VTEC selenoid, VTEC oil pressure, IAB, knock sensor, etc. anyways, I thought that the dual butteryfly intake manifold opens around 4400rpm and VTEC at 5500 rpm? the only time I feel a pull is at 6200 rpm. can the stock rpm gauge cluster be off? I'm using an EX/SI stock cluster. I can rev it to 8k no problems. I'm pretty sure the p72 that we're using is stock. any thoughts?

exactly what I was going to say, I thought the iab's were a hair lower but sounds close enough for me!

Re: (Honda Sport)
It isnt, what you are hearing are the secondaries opening up, they open @ 5750. Your stock tack is off a little from the factory about 500 pms. Vtec on a stock gsr is not very noticeable. But if you were to get a a chipped ecu with a different vtec crossover point the difference would be night and day.
