Default Using 2001 CRV engine and harness in a 98 civic with 99 si Aem computer.

I am workin on a swap with a 2001 Crv motor and harness in a 98 civic with a 99si AEM computer. The car starts and runs ok but I have no speedometer and the check engine light is on.

Is the harness different going to the dash or am I missing something? I have not found a crv harness breakdown. Does anyone have one that I can see.

Yes there is a difference in the harness comming from the dash.

I've had the displeasure of repinning a obd2b hanress to obd2a and only one pin is in the same location.

Looks like its time to bust out the helms and get to work.

Good luck.

But I thought that OBD2-B was from 98+ and OBD2-A was 96-97 only. His parts are all 98+ so they should work (I could be totaly wrong though)...

Well, I did a little searching and came up with this:

obd2A
96-99 acura integra
96-98 honda civic
96-01 honda prelude
96-97 honda accord

So apparently all Hondas and Acuras didnt switch to obd2B in the same year.

Well thats sucks! Thanks for doing the research & sharing though. I'm glad I know that now. I don't really know too much about OBD2...
