The truth behind low-priced JDM engines
In order to help our website browsers understand WHY our prices are not the lowest around, we took the time to write a (9) page detailed editorial.
It's a long read but definately valuable information to the person who might be new to all this, and is looking to purchase an engine- hassle free.
It is in PDF (Adobe Acrobat) format and the file is 377kb.

Not All JDM Engines Are Equal
Many customers assume all JDM engines are equal. Therefore, you can just price-shop and find the lowest price possible. They think that all dealers claiming to sell a B16A Honda Civic JDM engine are selling the exact same engine, in the exact same condition, and with the exact same specifications. But they are very wrong.
All of your comments, suggestions and concerns are highly appreciated!
Take care,
Andre

Excellent Info
Also checked out your site. The prices aren't that much higher (if they even are higher) than other places. A lot of the prices are the going rate among the same engines on other sites.

Re: The truth behind low-priced JDM engines (TotalBoost)
thanks for the quick attention, I am currently preparing my car for one of the biggest shows in Pennsylvania, Carlisle Customs..... now in harrisburg, but it takes place in early May. I think the 2-4 or sometime close to that. If you interested keep in touch, I could use a little help on some JDM OEM and aftermarket parts. Im currently working with Marcus from Heeltoe Auto also, but he cant offer me some of the parts that you can. Heeltoe's more of a strictly new parts place. But thanks again Andre.

I'm trying to understand your last sentence. You mean at the moment they are very high?
The supply is very mcuh drying up in JDM Land, and the American dollar is creeping downward, these would be the 2 largest factors right now for that.

What's hard to understand in the last sentence I typed ? Companies in the US are TAXING people hard for these motors. Everywhere else in the world they don't seem to be so expensive.

Oh ok, I just didn't know if you meant the whole market in general, and I'm not in the US so I'm not sure if you were refering to me also.

Re: The truth behind low-priced JDM engines (TotalBoost)
Very true and good info, but sometimes people have better connections and are not looking to make as much of a profit, thus they are cheaper.
BUT I would say in more cases than not, maybe about 80% to 20%, dealers sell the engines cheaper because they are "cheaper" in quality.
Its all about "quality" of the motor, rather than "quantity" of how much you pay!
