Default tranny question. need help

ok guys, need some help here. i have an s1 tranny in my 92 si. for those of you who may ask, i am using the hasport cable to hydraulic conversion on a 1st gen b16a. anyway, my tranny has developed the common third gear grind. it's getting pretty bad and i want to repair it. the question is, where can i get replacement parts for this trans? i can't find anything at the honda parts dept. is there a USDM part # for the syncros that i can use? any help would be great, TIA!

Yea i had a 5th gear grind in my Prelude. The syncros. And i changed out the Tranny oil for GM Syncromesh brand oil. I no longer have the grind and i can NOT make it grind!! Give it a shot it is worth the $20 and it sure is alot easer then rebuilding the tranny.

There are no US replacement synchros to my knowledge. If you had a 92-93 GSR YS1 cable tranny then the B Series hydro synchos would work.

honda MTF, GM syncromesh and castrol GTX. haven't tried sythetic yet, but i think it's a mechanical failure. i have a kaaz LSD so i wanna repair it. don't think getting another tranny will really help since it's bound to have the same problems...

Well maybe not another S1 but a newer GSR, Si or ITR hydro tranny would be a better upgrade IMO. Then you wouldn't have to worry about tracking down small parts like that.
