just did the same swap, and yes u can . i have been driving my car now for like 2 motths (restin now cause of snapped axles) it will work, hope this helps

It will work, but I would recommend getting the GSR throttle cable and bracket that mounts to the firewall. You can get both of them new from Acura for about $30. It's much cleaner looking and no chances of getting a sticking throttle cable.

The throttle cable is $14.52 and the bracket is $7.67. By the way here's the link:

13 is the GSR throttle bracket that bolts onto the firewall. I'm pretty sure 15 is for an LS which mounts on the driver's side shock tower. Your DX should have that bracket there already, but it's not used with a GSR. The GSR throttle cable is routed differently due to the manifold and the way it mounts to the throttle body.
