I recently brought a 99 Civic Si head and I plan on doing the LS/VTEC swap. So i'm going to be buying the bottom LS very soon I need to know what tranny i should use. I heard that the GSR or the Si I don't want to spend tons of money. Which one should I go with and why?

GSR is what I had. The Si tranny is good and really short, so accelration is great. But a gsr tranny is usually a little cheaper. Also, the slightly longer gearing of the gsr tranny is good for lsvtec because of all of the torque that is produced.

Its a toss up, but a gsr tranny is great.
