95 b16a in 92 hatch with itr tranny. its having a problem going into second gear. it feels like a wall or a barrier not allowing me to put the car in 2nd. every now and then it lets me but rarely. what could be the problem?

 

Aside from the shift forks being damaged or other internal transmission damaged, check your shift linkages... have someone shift it around while you're under the car and make sure they aren't binding on anything, and that the shift rod is going into the transmission at the proper angle... my entire engine is tweaked on it's mounts due to my ghettoing a D16Z6 engine mount with a bunch of washers, and someones i have problems getting into reverse and 3rd...

 

so it could b the linkage? could it be the syncros? all the other gears work perfectly but 2nd

 

Did this problem just happen or has it existed since you built the hybrid? Also, what shift rods are you using?
