Ok heres the deal. I just got 2 trannies from a friend of mine for 40 dollars, and a d15b7 motor. one tranny is an L3. how can i tell what tranny it iz? i have an 88 civic hatch dx, with 5 speed manual tranny, and an 88 base model hatch, four speed manual, and they both say L3 also. how do i determine which it is?and i also have a hydro tranny that says s20. What kind of tranny is this?also, the L3 tranny i that i bought has 21 splines, and the clutch on the d15b7 motor has 20.Do all 90-91 year civic trannies have 21 splines?
