Re: (djickabod)
There are 2 possible DTC codes from the CEL 54. It could be P1336 - CKF intermittent signal or P1337 - CKF no signal.
If it's 1336, more often than enough, the actual sensor is faulty.
If it's 1337, it could be multiple things including faulty sensor, bad wiring or even bad ECU (worst case).
Do you have access to a Helms manual? If you do make sure the correct wires have been spliced together. Are your wires soldered together or just crimped? And what did you use to protect the exposed wires? Heat shrink is the safest way to go.
There may be intermittent shorts or open in the circuit. Keep us posted.

I traced all my lines like te elms books said. I even tested the sensors. My problems were the following.
p0500 Vechicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Circuit Malfunction--
I found 2 pins unplugged so i re-pinned them and cleaned the ends for the connection.
p1337 Engine Speed (RPM) fluctuation Sensor (no Single)--
I have 2 breaks in the wiring so I installed new wires and connectors.
p0441 Evaporative Emission (evap) Control System -- Incorrect Purge Flow
This problem fixed on its own when the other wiring problems were fixed.
Now Im misfiring in #1 and #3. I have no idea why yet.
