Is there a difference between Obd-2a and Obd-2b distributors?

I have an Obd-2a LS and Im doing an LS/VTEC. Im about to buy a Obd-2b B16 head. Will the Obd 2b head work with Obd 2a LS?

No difference, same internals, same plugs for the B-series distributors.

The OBD2b distributors have different plugs.
