Did a search

Okay so I rebuilt my motor and it makes a tapping noise, sounds like valves tapping, only like 2k-4k rpms anything other than that and I can't heard it. I just got my valves adjusted and it still does it. Though I notice quite a difference from the valve adjustment the noise is still there. From searching it seems I might be using the wrong oil? I have no clue what is going on please help!

 

What motor u have? I remember on my b18b1 it did this all the time and it was fine, my brother's b16 does this alot too, even after his valves were adjusted, I hear for b series motors that this is normal, but I might be wrong. Just my 2 cents. Hope this somehow helps.

 

B16 head B18C1 Block I have crower full internals up top and ferrea valves. Stage 2 camshafts. It seems to be running fine but, paranoia kicks in and I freak out about the sounds.

 

are you using forged pistons?

yea my car does the same thing, and im paranoid. I know hondas have a tick naturally, but i dunno if it's supposed to be this loud. but i do have itr cams in a b16 head no further mods.

 

maybe it is the cams then? I don't know....
