Default Swapping OBD 1 Non Vtec Distributor internals into OBD 2 Vtec Housing....

I got a 2001 Integra with Type R swap (B18c5) and my distributor is blown. Im getting a really good deal on a low milege OBD 1 LS distributor and wanted to swap the internals for a cleaner look, rather than the chopped leg.

I imagine it is possible with some wiring but just looking for reassurance and any tips from people who have done this before.

Also, is it true that the distributor internals are identical for B and D engines, even if they are OBD1 or OBD 2? The only difference being the wiring at the harness?

well here we go, there are 2 obd 2's , A and B. you can take the igniter and coil out of your obd 1 ls dizzy and just replace them in the type r dizzy, simple easy and just a few screws. pull them apart and go for it. If u have more questions and have trouble post up pics of where its at and I or another person who actually knows their **** will guide u through.
