Default swapping motors into a honda insight?

ok i recently have a 200 civic si with a k20a2 yadayadaya........... what i want to do is put that motor into an insight. dont ask me why maybe cause im bored i dont know. i was curious if anyone had any information on what it would take in order to bolt this motor into the insight. i know custom mounts and what not but im more or less curious to know if it will fit into the bay with out having to be tube framed or anythin. any infor mation on this would be helpfull thanks.

There are a few drag Insights running around with K-motors. It would seem to me that it would make a much better drag car--the Insight really wan't made to corner-carve!

RPM NYC has a Turbo GSR Land Speed Insight.
If your going with custom mounts than it can be done without a doubt.

This is an ITB k20 insight

ya but these are fully tube cars prolly. he just want to drop a k20 into a stock chassis prolly minor mods to get it to work. dam i would love to do this. i want to also do this but the funds are not that great since i cant seem to find a roller for cheap, let alone at one that is in good shape. i found one with no front end and door going for like 4k still **** that. good luck with getting info.

Haha, that'd be the ultimate sleeper. Imagine pulling up on someone in an insight, instigating them, and then blowing away their civic/celica/whatever in the funny little 'hybrid'. Awesome.

I mounted a K20 in my Insight the other day and am building some custom mounts for my particular application. I'll let you know how it works out.

dam that would be an awesome swap, u have any pictures of this. also if the demand was slightly big would hasport have these on the back shelf. becuz im sure not to many ppl will be buying a insight to swap k since they are money to begin with.

If they're easy to make, I'll probably make 5 sets and stick them on the shelf.

Ill buy a set, Is this something that is going to happen soon? I was going to fabricate a one off set but if I can get you some detailed measurments a CNC'ed set would look much nicer

Has anyone done this yet, besides the K-sight.
I would like to see more info on this.
Planning to do this for a daily drive / drag car.
