Swapping a gsr
Hey guys, I might be able to get a complete gsr engine in good condition for hella cheap, you think i'll have any problems dropping it in my 95 LS, and my other question is I live in Cali where they are bitches about smog and stuff. Do I have to go see a special ref or anything to get my **** approved or do they even care?

this is going into ur integra right? I'd doubt that any smog station/cop would be like, "Hey...this integra is a LS...it's a non-vtec".
If you do plan on taking it to the ref...the rules are the engine must be the same year or newer and all smog equipment must be hooked up properly. When I get my h22 swap....imma play it save and get it approved. good luck.

i really seriously doubt the average smog guy will check if ur car is a LS or a GS-R...but yes to be LEGAL u must take it to a smog ref to get a BAR sticker...the swap should be all cherry!

Just a thought...why not get the gsr engine...sell ur car..and get a 92-95 hatchback. It'll be quicker than if it were swapped into ur integra.
