Default Swapped b18c5 oil question

B18C5 in EG hatch... Regular mods like Intake, header, exhaust, bigger injectors and fuel rail, Etc... Last owner says he he ran synthetic, but he didn't have it long before he crashed the car. Now I have it, what type of oil should I run? It smokes a lil under heavy acceleration, could that be because of synthetic oil?

whatever you want just be consistent with whichever you choose. Non-synthetic is the cheaper route but should be changed slightly more frequently imho then synthetic but both will work fine.
