What's your budget? If your talking $5-8k then a built/turbo B series with good suspension and chassis mods. For myself, this would be a sleeved B18/B20 block with B16/Type R head.
If your talking $10k+ then a turbo K swap with a 6 speed and good suspension and chassis mods. For myself this would be a K20/24 hybrid, but everyone's different. Regardless, make sure you address the suspension and chassis and don't neglect this area as so many people do. A car as light and nimble as these can be when properly set up, you will never experience the true potential of whatever setup you chose on a stock suspension. Best of luck with the build!

For reference, I have a B20Vtec turbo EM1 si now, but previously I had a turbo D16z6 95 EX coupe and a 93 del sol with a modestly built d16 (~12.8:1comp Z6 block, ported Y8 head, Zex/Comp cam and VT package, LSD SI 5spd) and I can tell you that it was an ANIMAL at autoX once I added coil overs, sticky tires, and some chassis bracing. That combo only made around 150whp, but made 117lb/ft and the TQ curve was impressive and all around numbers were better than most NA B16s which are considered "better" engines.

I'm a fan of the K23H2DB16-T build

Start reading. I don't spoon feed anything...neither should anyone else. Figure out goals and a budget and go from there.
