swap problem?? need advice
okay...when i did my swap...4 quarts of mobil 1: 5w30 was added to the motor. After that we took it for a test drive and black smoke was coming out of the tailpipe, plus from underneath the car cause the exhaust pipe was not long enough. Anyways after going to the muffler shop and getting a extended pipe, and coming back home, we checked the oil....it was low...a little beneath the first dot on the dipstick. We added some more...like another quart...i didn't notice any smoke until i was on the highway going home....greyish white smoke was coming out of the tail pipe...like a lot...then it quits and after 10 to 15 min...it comes back. Now i want to know if i added too much oil....cause the dipstick is from a gsr, and my motor is a jdm b16...is it too short. Also my radiator foams, and i'm told that i need to replace the headgasket. by the way...i was driving home last night on the highway at 80mph with oil not even over the first dot...and my car didn't heat up or nothing...i was driving on the highway for 1 1/2 hours. also i couldn't see any smoke, cause it was night. let me know what you guys think....thanks.
also checked my spark plugs....they were black, and one of them...the one at the end(closest to the camgears) had oil on it. what does this mean?
First of all, I would recommend you use a B16 Oil dip stick, as the GSR oil pans are different, thus the dip sticks are slightly longer, I believe.
Another thing, is sounds to me like the headgasket is definitely bad, I would go get a compression test and also a leakdown test to see where the leak is coming from and if you have any compression.
It's most likely that the headgasket is bad, and would recommend that you replace, also make sure everything is at TDC just incase you replaced the water pump and timing belt as well.
Keep us posted. HTH.

thanks, man..i appreciate your advice...i've been checking up to see who can help or give me advice...and your the first..thanks. i'm going to do a leak down test, compression was done a while ago...200+ on all...but i don't know right now..since one spark plug had hella oil on it and the rest was black. thanks.
Another sigh that your Head gasket is blown is that you see bubbles in the coolant and the sell a special dye the u put in your cooling system that turn color if you have exhaust gases in it. Good luck, Put i would do what poison said first.
