its normal on b16 81.5mm cp piston (freshly build) i have custom catch can (t1 style) and i see a litle smoke go out its normal? smell like gas....??

 

A little bit of steam or vapor that disipates quickly is normal. Same looking stuff as when you take off the oil fil cap on a hot motor. If you are getting thick smoke then you might have problems.

 

hmmm how i know its thick hehehehe?? dont look like smoke from exhaust, its just a litle...

 

sounds like what you have is normal vapor, nothing to wory about.

Do a leakdown test. A little smoke can be normal or indicative of a problem with your ring seal. A leakdown test can tell you if you have anything wo be worried about. It's probably nothing, but peace of mind is relatively easy to get in your case, so do the test.

 

well the engine have 100 miles... i try to drive a litle more and make the test, on the exhaust dont come nothing of this smoke if the rings are bad the smoke go out on the exhaust too right?
