Water Pump change during swapping?
I've seen alot of people do this, at least on ITR engines, they swap out the water pump and throw in a new OEM one, im pretty sure its probably because the current pump has gone bad due to corrosion and what not, but mabie thats not why, anyone know why exactly they swap out this part ?

It's just preventive maintenance. Especially on a motor w/ higher mileage.
Always a good idea to change the water/oil pumps, timing belt, etc.

true mileage of a swap is never know.. its best to do a complete tune up before you install it.. water pump timming belt sould always be replaced when doing a swap

yeah its best to do it all that while you have the motor out before it does go bad. youll be kicking yourself later if you dont change it while the engine is out
