Default the swap headache continues (throttle cable bracket)

i swear to god **** wasnt this difficult when i did a b16 into my coupe 1.5 years ago. but anyway

second gen b16 into 93 DX coupe.

i cant figure out how to get the throttle cable bracket to work. im trying to use the stock one turned around. but its about 1/2 inch too short. it dosent reach the threaded metal part. this is odd because it worked on my swap.. oh well

this is what i get for helping my friends, headaches.

and DONT tell me to ******* search the archived search is down.

I had the same problem you have to make a custom bracket to make it work. Is it the del sol vtec bracket you are trying to make work because i herd that one will work. Anywho i had to make a custom bracket to make it work out, and it was a headache. Hope that helps

i just did a swap last week and had to modify the throttle cable bracket.

94 LS chassis
94 LS Throttle cable
94 LS Throttle cable bracket
93 GSR (B16A) IM
93 GSR TB

all i did was widen the holes on the 94 LS cable bracket to match the holes on the IM and it fit correctly.

don't know if this helps but i thought i would share it with you.

I used a 90-93 Integra throttle cable with the stock b16 bracket. I think all 90-up teg ls, Type R, Del sol vtec, and 99-00 si cables will work. As far as rigging the bracket, I have no idea.

hmm, i'm not sure where the JB Weld thing came into play. i was just talking about widening the bracket holes, that's all.

the stock throttle cable HAS to work. You won't need JB weld or any of that ****. just move around the bracket on the intake manifold and it should work just fine.

I was able to use my stock throttle cable for the h22, I'm damn sure it'll work for a B series.

search you n00b.
hmm, not sure if this was directed to me. i'm not a noob by any means.
why cause i only have 492 posts on H-T so i'm a 'noob' and need to do a search, is that how it goes?

real nice.

maybe there is something that is being misinterpreted, cause i don't see how JB Weld and my comment about widening the holes have anything to do with each other.

if this wasn't directed at me than disregard what i said. peace.

no, not you, man. That was directed to Kamin, since he is having so many issues with a simple B16 into a 5th gen civic.

ok, no hard feelings. sometimes people direct things to people who don't have alot of posts as 'noobs'. i thought that was directed to me at first.

yeah i hope that the bracket thing works out for Kamin, it's normally not a problem when doing a swap.
