Default starting problems....please help!!

I have a 92 civic with a 94 JDM GSR motor in it. The motor is in the car for a year now with no problems. But there was this one time last year where i accidently stalled the car when i was starting from a light. I tried cranking the car over but it wouldn't start. But than when i completely shut the car off (turned iginition completely off to the point where you can remove the key) and than treid again, it fired. Well one year later, today, the same thing happened to me. I accidently stalled the car from a standing start when i tried starting it, it wouldn't start. Again, i completely shut the car off and tried starting it. It fired and than when i gave it gas, it quickly stalled. I tired firing it again and again with no luck of starting it. After couple of mintues i stopped and let the car sit for a min or 2 and tried again. On the first crank, it fired....just like normal. Nothing unusual. What can be wrong with my car? When it stalled, it felt like that the motor was either flooded with gas or not getting enough air.

I forgot.....new plugs, wires, fuel filter, and type-R fuel pump were installed when i got the motor last year.
