i am with new2HD....there has been a sr20det motor if im not mistaken...dropped into a civic. i will post the pics up once i find'em again.

to bad in sanctioned Racing Series it is not able to run since the engine has to come from the Orginal Manufactur car... Honda.. honda engine.. nissan.. nissan engine.. it's nice but for what purpose? might as well build a b series and drop it in

Yes it can be done and there are several people who have done it. I think the main reason for it is because all the cars that came with SR20DE's are heavier than the civic.

it's an sr20DET blue bird Front wheel drive motor, it was in one of the topics in H-T, someone posted pictures of it, in a civic in the U.S. i seen the Thai ones, but i wanna see the ones they posted here not too long ago like last week....i forgot which thread it was on.......but it was titled like craziest swaps or something like that>!!!! it was just a good picture, and got a bet with mah friend that it can be done.......

you can drop a b series, boost it, build it, and be much faster than that...and its more practical...those guys are just crazy and have the money for it...not worth it unless you're a show car imo

alright i never said i was gonna do it, i'm just looking for that picture that was posted somewhere in ht.com earlier, it was a nice picture and just wanted to show a friend...and I didn't care for much about Fast and the Furious....so please stop with the tiring off topic wanabe insult questions man, i dont' flame on anybody here......just trying to get that pic posted up earlier. Showed a pic of a civic with his hood open a front shot and that pretty *** valve cover.....anyone remember seeing it?

Not to get in anyone's fight or anything but i think its kinda funny that you guys flamed the hell out of him saying it couldn't be done (and making ref to F & F) and they showed you pics of it, then you come back with saying it won't be legal in racing and that it would cost to much money. That wasn't the issue. He just wanted to see a topic about a SR20 in a civic.

Foot in the mouth comes to mind. A built SR20 motor would be as good if not better then a built B series motor (Just my opinion no need to flame me).

And for the record I think putting a SR20 in a civic is not worth the hassle (Hell half the time its not the worth the hassle to put it in a american car.)

I highly agree. The Nissan SR20 is one of the strongest Motors made. Maybe not in stock form but you can build the hell out of them. And no I am not saying this cause I am partial to Nissan or anything like that. My car has an SR20 in it, and I love it.

alright, in my opinion i like the sr20det's better than B series engines, thas just me....BUT I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT DOING THE SWAP IN A CIVIC.......cuz 1) i don't really like civics that much, and 2) ALL i did was just ask for the pictures.....!!!!! and some of guys are giving b.s. comments that are not needed in here, and telling me how expensive it's gonna be, and how hard and how much time it's gonna take, and than brining in crap from fast and the furious which i rarely watch and didn't really like all that much... I'm not really pissed as whoever said, it just get's tiring when someone post a reply way off topic, thinking they're funny but NOT!!!! Thank you though for those people that did try to help and are serious about the comments they put.....Your helpfullness is well appreciated!!!!

IMO the sr20 is far beyond the b-series engine. Just take a look for a Nissan Silvia built by Top Secret of Japan. The CEO of the company owns a daily driver 800hp sr20det boosted by a t51r. The guy has full roll cage, and race seats, and uses the car to drop his kids off at school. How many streetable 800+hp b-series engines can you find?

some dood, up a few posts said if someone really wanted to they could put a viper engine in a civic,, funny he should say that. i was snooping throught the newbie section looking for some laughs, and i see this post,,, "Anyone have the pic of the integra with the viper engine in it?" i was like WTF, it had the camera icon, i clicked into the post, scrolled down,,, and holy mother of god, a teal integra with a dodge viper engine sitting in the engine bay,,, well more like over taking the engine bay. some crazy **** let me tell you. i dont know any details on rear wheel drive or **** like that, but it looked mad crazy and it couldnt have been one of those photo shop rip offs, becuase i have done stuff like that before and ide know
