Default Speedometer and vtec

Ive heard that you have to have your speedometer connected if you want your vtec to enguage. Is this true?

Yes. the spedo must be working for vtec to engage.

will hondata override?? put in an ATS lsd and speedo wont go back in. have hondata and heard it will override.......????

well damn my crx (that i just got) is pretty fast without vtec..... but i got to get that speedo hooked up!

Another question: When i get a new speedocable its going to read in mph and not kilometers is it? ( may be a stupid question )

Are you asking if changing the speedo cable will change your MPH to KPH??? the speed doesn't depend on cable at all only on what cluster you have... If you got the JDM CRX SiR then that will be in KPH, if you got and stock USDM one then it will be in MPH.... Hope this answers your question.. Latez
