Default sohc vtec ECU ????

Hey guys I just got a SOHC Vtec for my 92 CX so it will not be stock soon. The swap looks pretty straight forward. I just dont have a P28 ecu and was wondering if i can use my stock CX ecu i think it P06. Will it work so I can drive it, I know I wont have vtec but I just want to do the swap cause i got some free time but need to be able to drive it atleast. don't want to do the swap and cannot drive it because I don't got an ECU. Someone please get back to me?????

thanks so much in advance

It will run like a plug, but at least you will be able to drive it. I was in the same boat when I swapped a Z6 into my friends dx hatch. I had to use the dx ecu until I could find a p28. The car ran ok, just no vtec and it seemed like it was running a little lean.

P05 = USDM CX ecu (for 70hp 1.5l motor with single wire 02)
P06 = DX ecu (for 102hp 1.5l motor running 4 wire 02)

either will work, the fuel and ignition maps are weak but then again since when was a d16z6 a performance motor?

but yes it will get you around
