Default smelling engine oil burn bad ?

I hava a b20v running with oil leak from the head I know something they didn't do right , my question is. is it bad to inhale or smell the engine burn ? the engine oil leaks to the header and exhaust pipe sometimes I wld smell it. I was wondering if can cause lung cancer etc ? I'm being a little paranoid , if its too harmful to smell it.
