Default SlowB16's H2B EG, 221whp/177tq Stock JDM H22

Matt (SlowB16) has been a longtime customer of ours. Before this car he had an Evo X that he started tracking last year. From what he told me he didn't want to crash it and wanted a dedicated Track car.

In came the EG!

He found an EG locally with a B20/vtec for like $1500 with a rod knock. The car is a little rough, but it came with some GSR leathers, Integra dash, some front sway bar(not stock, looks like a whiteline) and a b16 tranny.

We ended up going with a JDM h22, the motor was like $995 shipped.

Evolution Industries H2B kit
KaizenSpeed BS Eliminator
Kaizenspeed timing tensioner
Skunk2 Alpha 66mm TB
Tri-Y Header with a 2.5" collector
Custom 3" Exhaust with Vibrant muffler
Port matched TB/intake mani
We also removed the plenum spacer that has the butterflys in it and did some porting.
EGR Delete.
And some no name Short Ram intake.
MFactory LSD
All new SynchroTech synchros.
Tuned on CromePro

That was pretty much it for mods. We were expecting somewhere around 180-190whp. But when it first went on the dyno and made the numbers it did, we were very surprised.

I drove the car around and it rips pretty good.

This should do pretty damn good on the track and i hope he has fun with it lol.

We ended up leaving it at a solid 12.5 AFR in the end. This wasn't the smoothest graph, just the one that made the most power. I think we left it at 216/170.

The car is an absolute blast to drive. Exactly what I was hoping for. Well more actually, as I was expecting right around 200hp. Thanks to English Racing and Myles (gringo) for making it happen.

That's really good power for being a stock h22 with bolt ons. I could only imagine what it would do with a head package

Yes it feels damn good. New suspension going on today and then it's time for some curvy roads.

Dyno may read little high... all H2Bs will read higher hp then say H22 trans, torque seems too high for 90.7mm stroke bolt on... 16x... none the less great project!!!!

It's a Dynojet, no making this dyno "read" higher...

It's damn consistent with every other Dynojet in WA that we have dynoed on i can say that much..

most h2b on MAP's dyno (stock longblock) do 210-215whp.
when you spend timing modding that h22 IM you can pick up some good gains.

nothing "high" about the #...

It's awesome to make that much power with a bolt on h22. Mine did 222/185 with an h23a intake header exhaust. Very nice.

Those do seem like high numbers. Impressive though! I'm guessing that ported oem manifold is what helps alot. Yet only a little 66mm throttle body? Hmmmm.
