Simple Question
Hey guys, I have what I believe to be a simple question for the pro's... I have a 1992 Civic VX. It is wired for V-Tech already even though it's a poor excuse for V-Tech. My question is, if I wanted to throw an obd ii gsr in there, would I be able to keep the same wiring harness since it has v-tech already? Or is there a real difference between the harness of obd I and obd II? An extra plug maybe? I truly don't know... But if I could just plug and play that would be some amazing news to hear... So go ahead guys, fire away.

Re: Simple Question
First off, VTEC. It's variable valve engagement, not a portable home phone.
It would be *mostly* plug and play, but you would have to modify a few things. VTEC would be the easy part - your O2 sensors would be more complicated to wire than VTEC would be. It would be more logical to get an OBD1 GSR, though.

Re: Simple Question
Obviously it would be easier to do a 95 gsr. But finding that would take 3 times longer. And so I put a hyphen, big deal. So the "vtech" plug makes no difference between the harness'?

I don't want to stray too far off topic, but for educational purposes:
It's not about the hyphen. It's about the actual word. VTEC vs VTECH.
