this setup will be going into a '96 civic ex........i dont want a frankenstein motor and i DO plan on turbo later on....i also plan on modifying the motor a little

b18b (any prices???)
b20z (any prices???)
b16a2 (around $2500)
or save up money for b18c1 (around $3500?

b20 long block= $1200+

keep in mind you cant use the head & mani on the b20 in your civic. the height is too tall. you need to swap it out for a b18 or b16 (my choice) head matched to a geezer mani.

 

i dotn see why you cant use the b20 head? i beleive you need to just change out the intake manifold to that of a b18a/b, i would say go b18 or b20 if your planning on turbo.

 

The LS and B20 heads are identical why couldn't you use it... The only thing you can't/wouldn't want to use even if you could is that POS Intake manifold.
