RHD engine in LHD car!

If you're car is not RHD, then I would not recommend using the RHD harness. It's much easier to use a LHD harness and plug it up.

Because everything on a RHD car is on the opposite side of a LHD car, ex: battery, fuse box, car harness plugs....everything. You NEED a LHD harness.

If using the RHD harness, wouldn't the only problem be for some wires to reach their "destinations"? For instance if the alternator is further away from the battery now than in the RHD car it would need to be lenghtened? However, many wires would be longer, or jsut the same, wouldn't they?

Yea in theory you could do that but you would have one hell of a mess on your hands not to mention do you really realize how many wires you would have to lengthen...hell just go to a junk yard and pull a harness from a 92-95 civic ex and use that

FYI: The motors are the same weather they are from a LHD car, or a RHD car. All the sensors on the motor are in the exact same place. The problem is where the engines wire harness connects to the car itself. Since the Battery, ECU & fuse box are all on opposite sides in a RHD chassis, all the chassis plugs will be on the wrong side. Using your stock LHD harness & adding in the extra plugs & wire from the RHD harness, you can easily build yourself a fully functional LHD VTEC harness.

Using a RHD harness would make it the most difficult. </TD></TR></TABLE>
RHD harnesses are great to chop up for plugs and wiring. other than that they are worthless.

Okay, seems I'll be using the original harness.. Found out it's only 12-13 wires I'll have to add, and that's not as bad as I thought.. Guess it's time for chopping uyp the RHD harness then :D
