Default repin plugs?

search function is down.. i searched before but didnt come up with anything.....

For the distributor plugs/wires is it possible to repin them instead of cutting them and match? I'm using obd1 plugs with obd2 dizzy and alternator.... i found the wiring info but would like to knoe if i can depin and repin for right location instead of cutting...... ( if its possible what tools is needed and is it worth the hassel?)

thanks...

It's probably worth the hassle for the clean look, however you should cover those wires with loom. If you do this it is pointless in re-pinning cause it will be covered up anyway. I would just cut, strip, solder, and tape.

If you decide to re-pin then use a paper clip or a pin tool. I used a paper clip and my Craftsman Pin tool set.

Get a pair of needlenose pliers and pull out the plastic piece (usually white or blue)inside the plug. It's possible to remove the male pins using only your finger, just push the pin towards the tab and pull the wire out. For the female pins get a pocket screwdriver and simply push the pin towards the tab and remove the wire.

depinning>soldering

if you decide to cut and solder, use heat shrink tubing instead of tape.
